Saturday Spankings -- pulled in by a spanking

I'm excited to share this excerpt from my new release, Begin Again, that just came out. Do we all recall that first time we've read a fictional story that drew us into the world of D/s? The following is a story within a story. Meredith is finding herself confused about how drawn she is to the D/s lifestyle. Why is this hot? Don't spankings hurt? Then why do her thoughts keep going back to what it would be like to be punished?

She heard the jingle of the buckle and the whoosh of it as he removed his belt from the loops.

“Why are you getting a spanking, Sylvia?” he asked.

“I disobeyed you, sir.” She gulped.

""And what happens to little girls who disobey?” he clipped, the hard edge of his voice melting her legs to jelly.

She swallowed. “They get punished, sir,” she whispered.

“That's right,” he said, his voice just above a whisper now. “How many do you think you deserve, young lady?” ...

A little voice whispered in the back of Meredith's mind...Why are you so turned on by pain? This sounds awful! But she ignored that little voice...

Blurb:
Things are going well for Meredith and her husband, Paolo—until a terrible car accident leaves him disabled. As he distances himself from her emotionally, Meredith finds herself increasingly seeking consolation in her fantasy world. Escaping into her erotic romance books helps keep the loneliness at bay, and awakens in her a curiosity about the Dominant/submissive lifestyle.

The day she stumbles across a website forum for real-life submissives and Dominants, her life is forever changed. These are not characters created by authors. They are real people, who are both familiar with and willing to discuss the D/s lifestyle with her. As Meredith's knowledge and understanding increase, she realizes that there is one question only she can answer—is she truly submissive, or is the fantasy better left in the pages of books?

In a last ditch attempt to discover who she really is, she agrees to pledge her obedience to an anonymous, online Dom. After all, it can't really be considered cheating if he is just a faceless entity in cyberspace, surely? The first time she's given an order, however, the scenario becomes all too real, leaving her with some serious thinking to do. Will her devotion to her online Dominant take precedence over her real, flesh and blood husband?

Will Meredith's journey of self-discovery destroy her marriage, or will she and Paolo somehow find a way to begin again?

Available now at Amazon and Blushing Books and Barnes and Noble.

  1. Welcome to Saturday Spankings, Jane. Congratulations on your new release, and I so agree with Meredith. Those questions continue to haunt a lot of us late at night. I guess it's all a matter of degree and what turns us on. Hopefully, she'll find the answers she seeks with just the right man.

  6. There are two excellent questions here! The 'why' question can be so hard when a girl is simply making her own choices. Disobedience is a good catch all reason.
Like Amelia said, there is never a right answer to 'how many.'
